Forestry operations and woodchip production in Laos
Musen provides forestry contracting and field services across Laos. Managing Director Chen Jianguo also owns Timber Plantations Chipmill Afa Sole Co., Ltd. (TPCA), an operating woodchip production facility supplying paper-production and industrial biomass markets.
OUR OPERATIONS
Two areas of operation
Musen’s activities combine practical forestry contracting with woodchip production, bringing together field operations, timber supply experience and industrial wood processing.
FORESTRY CONTRACTING
Forestry and field operations
Musen provides practical forestry contracting and field services covering silviculture, harvesting, timber operations, forest roads, land clearing and site preparation.
WOODCHIP PRODUCTION
Timber Plantations Chipmill Afa
TPCA produces eucalyptus and acacia woodchip for paper production and industrial biomass applications, with current production of approximately 300 GMT per day.
Experience and Projects
Musen’s forestry contracting operations and TPCA’s woodchip production draw on Chen Jianguo’s long practical experience in the Lao forestry sector. Together, the two operations provide experience across plantation establishment, harvesting and timber handling through to industrial woodchip production.
This combination of field and processing experience supports practical understanding of the timber supply chain from plantation operations through to industrial customers.
